New Plumbing Fixtures

Updating, minor remodel or total overhaul requires new plumbing fixtures (or at least it should). This is the fun part!

Common, in stock and affordable faucets and fixtures can be found at your local hardware store. If you are looking for a more luxurious or high end faucet/fixture then visit a local show room. They generally won’t have any faucets in stock but it’s worth the wait for the perfect look.

Alternatively you can order some faucets online. Make sure you pick the right look and the RIGHT FIT so you don’t have to go through the hassle of returning it via mail.

Replacement

Sometimes a fixture replacement is not by choice – maybe a faucet broke. In this case, the plumber onsite may have a couple options to choose from or they may run to a hardware store to pick one up. We HIGHLY recommend you pick out your own faucet. It’s your bathroom or kitchen and you have to live with the end result. Don’t let the plumber pick your fixture. Ask your plumber for guidelines so you know what KIND of faucet to pick out and enjoy shopping! 

Remodels & rough-ins

Do you want to simply replace a faucet(s) or are you making big plans and you need to coordinate plumbing fixtures to match your design? A remodel can be simple or it can morph into a complicated project.

A rough-in is a major overhaul of the plumbing system. The purpose of a plumbing rough-in is to re-establish the basic infrastructure for the plumbing system, including water supply lines, drainage pipes, and vent stacks. This phase involves running pipes through walls, floors, ceilings. Positioning fixtures such as toilets, sinks, and bathtubs, and installing valves and other necessary plumbing fittings. 

As you can see, remodels and plumbing rough-ins are different but there is a bit of grey area where they do cross each other.
